Back to Kabul

This is the Jalalabad Road - perhaps the most dangerous road in Kabul - scene of many roadside bombs and attempts to blow up passing military convoys.

Regarding the photography, it's only a nice road shot, but with the explanation, it's different… A place of fear.

@Namaki: The road is usually very very busy. Parked further up this road is a huge Marks & Spencers articulated truck... how it got there and what it is doing in Kabul is one of those mysteries of the east!

What a dusty place. The ominous nature of this road isn't immediately apparent but sure changes the context of the photo. You also managed to capture 4 modes of transportation in one shot.
