The light here makes it look warm, as do the colours. What is the temperature in the winter usually? Your photos always make me very curious. They inspire thought and open a window to a far-away place in a way like I have never seen it. Deeply humanising.

@Terre Mavix Chartrand: The winters are fairly short, mid December through to the beginning of March. Temperatures are low, it may stay below freezing for many days, the nights are cold - the coldest when I was there was about -26C. Probably much the same as your part of the world - though the vast majority of people do not have any electricity so staying warm is a big problem especially those still living in bombed out buildings and tents.
