@Marie-Hélène Ammor: No, the stall is on the ground, close to the Kabul River. I passed this way on the way to an Afghan burger bar for lunch :-)

In fact, I think I will go and steep some chai for myself. I have a particular brew with almonds right now. Very delicate.

The photo itself: I like the splash of red. There is a balance in that as well. Good composition.

From the thumbnail I thought this was taken on a rooftop..the piles of pans looked like chimneys! I like these shots of everyday life - commonplace to them but so different to me, it's cool.
