Each house has a junction box on the pole. Its all quite safe as there is often no electricity and when it is on the voltage is very low. At times last year it was on only a few hours a day and sometimes the few hours was the middle of the night! I always snap this when passing!

you know what ? I was surprised to see that kind of electrical installation in the heart of London ... (close to Little Venice for example...) I have seen about the same on the island of Dominica which used to be a British colony ... but this one is really amazing ! if it works properly it's close to the miracle !

Unfortunately, we can see the same disastre in Africa, especially in NIGER. Hopefully, no accident... a miracle !
