Busy Kabukl ! IIs it dust or smoke from the old cars . You say you took a lot of portraits while walking down that road... how did the people react ? Did they see you or do you use a tele lense ?

@Namaki: Dust, exhaust from clapped out motors - everything. There is a lot of pollution, also the image was taken into the light which accentuates it! Most of the time I ask if I can take a picture - almost all are very happy for this. Once you start taking pictures - others come and ask if I will take their photo! Gridlock in kabul....? brilliant shot Scott. Incidently, I have a shortwave reception card (QSL) from kabul when they used to broadcast to the world, circa 1971. (just some useless info)

@Observing: There is always gridlock in Kabul - there doesn't seem to be many rules of the road. They put traffic lights in a few years ago and they were totally ignored! Radio...I believe licences are trickling out again were you SWL or amateur? 73's!
