This is a short cut, the piste is deep fine dust. Out of the dust stand these isolated blocks of apartments. Surreal! At the other side there is a guy with a business... he has a roadside air compressor and for a small charge he will clean the vehicles air filter of the dust! Maybe I should have had the D80 done as well!

@Calusarus: Its working fine, I've taken many thousands of images since. Some dust did get sucked into the lens but it doesn't seem to have affected the images.
Wow, surreal alright! Great shot. It looks like it could be on the moon but for those apartment blocks.

Wonderful. Dust is incredible stuff, isn't it? Gets into everything, like smoke.

Once, we had the most incredible dust storm - all the traffic had to stop because you could barely see the vehicle in front a few feet away!

This photo captures the surreal quality of the scene! The large apartment buildings rising out of the dust, with the stark mountains in the background. Very well done!
