Wandering the backstreets of Kabul you get a real feel for the city and the people. This is a fairly typical view of a residential area half-way up one of the many hillsides (on a very murky day).

great shot, everywhere looks so densely compacted. the path and the telegraph wires really draw you in and the figures add a sense of scale.

Terrific Shot, My eyes are automatically drawn to the trench running down the hill, Its only when you reach the bottom and focus on the hillside in the background that the total scale of the shot becomes apparent.

Wicked shot, you have brought us right into the heart of the village, it's enlightening to see how others live.

I like the wide view, it gives a good perspective of the area surrounding the street.

Great perspective. A few weeks ago I read A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hossein so your pictures really resonate with me.

Thanks for showing us this side of Kabul. It reminds me so very much of the towns in the Andes of Peru. Are those adobe bricks used for building the houses?
