This war may be is finished, but consequences are always there... how long this debris are going to stay there and how long for rebuilt houses ? A landscape of desolation but it's the Afghan reality and it's difficult for us to imagine leaving there, among these painfull memories; Powerful picture for waking up to the absurdity of the war.

@Evelyne Dubos: Many thanks for your comment. The worst debris are the many land mines, anti-personnel mines and unexploded ordinance in great variety. Most of the rough ground on the hills are mined though they are usually clearly marked by stones painted half red/half white. Red side = mines, white side = clear!
Is it time to put all weapons on the scrap heap.
