@Lorraine: Hi Lorraine.... it was a very cold (not by Canadian standards!), maybe -10C late afternoon, sun almost down, my last day in Afghanistan and I had just been out for a quick walk to the shops... well that was the excuse, fortunately I had my camera with me ( :-) ) and took a whole pile of shots... mostly people... including some inside a local bakery - very atmospheric and interesting... just yards from our house, I snapped this image - she was happily skipping along on the ice as children do (p.s. didn't buy anything at the shops .. well carrying shopping cramps the photography a bit :-) ...tsccch my hands were FROZEN... but the photos were good!

What an amazing exprience it must have been to have been working in Afghanistan, your photographs give a wonderful insight to this beautiful country and it's people.
This is a brilliant shot and I look forward to seeing more.
