A minus 23 morning

Kabul has periods of intense cold - maybe down to -23-26 C. Starting is always a problem... this guy has a good fire under his engine to warm it up... we used a blowtorch on our Nissan... it worked!

Heya, This a way too cool picture. But, on the other hand, speaking of crops, I would have croped a bit of the mud in the foreground, just to give more enphasys on the guy and the street. It's a pitty that the focus is not on the guy. That would have been perfect!
Anyways, a cool piece of photojournalism! have a great 2008!

@Gonçalo: Hi Gonçalo... very cool....brrrrr! I have another picture taken closer to the guy but the fire was not as good! I'll check it out! I was on the way to work and jumped out the car... the others (non-photographers) were drumming fingers... :-)

Thanks for dropping by and commenting, it is much appreciated! Re your question, most of the time no real problems everyone is very friendly and are happy to have their picture taken (apart from women) I do get prints made and drop them off if possible - this is always greatly appreciated. Communication is usually non-verbal when getting the OK. Get in touch via email if you need details!
